Led by musician and early childhood specialist Sagit Shir, this unique journey takes your little ones through the vibrant rivers of Congo, the playful playgrounds of Mexico City, and the enchanting streets of Paris. Our carefully curated collection of songs, nursery rhymes and lullabies from cultures around the world, spanning a multitude of languages and selected for their ease of learning, fosters a deep appreciation for global diversity and musical heritage from an early age, exposing your little ones to a diverse and inclusive musical landscape. Join us on this enriching musical adventure!
Sagit Shir embarked on her professional musical journey at the age of 18. Following rigorous auditions, she earned a coveted spot in the official entertainment units of the IDF, where she toured the country as a singer and drummer during her two year mandatory service. Sagit then continued to pursue her passion for music at the renowned 'Rimon School of Contemporary Music and Jazz' in 2003, where she garnered acclaim for her compositions, arrangements, and performances, earning multiple awards along the way.
In 2006, Sagit sought to broaden her musical horizons in Havana, Cuba, immersing herself in the rich tapestry of Cuban music. Returning to Israel six months later, she unveiled her second album, a testament to her ever-evolving artistry. Relocating to New York City in 2008 with her lifelong partner Ariel Scherbacovsky, Sagit co-founded the indie rock duo Hank & Cupcakes, igniting a spark that would soon captivate audiences nationwide. Their musical prowess captured the attention of publications like the New York Post, MTV.com, Huffington Post, Vogue Italy, Rolling Stone Russia, and more. Signed to the esteemed BMG record label, Sagit and Ariel toured extensively across the United States and abroad for the next eight years, gracing festivals and sharing stages with luminaries such as The Roots, Placebo, Chris Isaak, Lucius, Of Montreal, Crystal Castles, and others.
Amidst their whirlwind journey, Sagit welcomed the arrival of her daughters in 2016 and 2019, seamlessly blending the demands of motherhood with her unwavering passion for music. Throughout her career, Sagit Shir has remained committed to nurturing musical talent in others, imparting her wealth of experience through teaching vocals and songwriting to students of all ages and specializing in early childhood music education. Sagit found a special calling in teaching music to early childhood classes, blending her passion for music with her love for nurturing young minds.
