Canopy was designed especially for you! Our playspace was created with natural light, low stimulation, and a sparkling clean environment for your child to safely explore while you relax in adult-sized furniture. In addition to open play sessions, we offer classes, events, and parties at our indoor playground in Williamsburg.

Meet the Founder

Founder + CEO: A mom to two, and licensed massage therapisT (I also own PRESS MASSAGE)

Hey Friends! I’m Rachel. When my first baby was born in March 2020, it wasn’t the experience I had hoped and dreamed about. Postpartum anxiety, depression, and extreme loneliness set in. I didn't meet new moms, do "baby and me" yoga classes, or find camaraderie with other new parents going through the same thing. I also didn’t have a β€œthird space” to be that wasn’t home or work: a place where I could have friends and meet up with other moms going through something similar.

At 5 months pregnant with my second baby, I was determined that this time would be very different. I started to think about all the things I would love to feel postpartum: supported, held, comforted. I wanted a clean, safe space for my baby that wasn't overstimulating. A space where he could safely learn tummy time and to crawl, without being run over by bigger kids. A place where I could build real community. I searched high and low for this, and couldn't find it. So I created Canopy. - Rachel Beider
